Light enters through the wounds

Light enters through the wounds (Rumi)
“But at first, darkness swallowed the light.

On January 8–9, 2026 (18–19 Dey 1404), as Iran plunged into a total internet blackout, the regime severed the world from its people to unleash slaughter in silence. Thousands fell under bullets in the dark, their cries muffled, their blood unseen.
Yet blood did not sink into the earth.
It spread, surged from beneath every stone, and flowed on.
Anyone who sees it knows: innocence was murdered here.
Their blood still speaks. Their light still breaks through the cracks.

My work here is a painting of pain and a witness. A refusal to let the blood be forgotten. A reminder that every life stolen in those streets is still flowing, still speaking, still illuminating the path toward a freer tomorrow.
May their light never fade.

We will not forget. We will not forgive.
In eternal memory of the fallen.”
