The Topography
of Healing
In my current practice, I investigate the physiological and psychological landscapes of trauma and resilience. Through heavy textures, impasto, and crackle mediums, I construct surfaces that are physically traumatized; their fissures become structural metaphors for the moments we are broken.
Within the deepest fractures, I introduce gold—not to hide the damage, but to illuminate it. This work is not an argument for returning to an untouched state; it is an assertion that survival, carrying the wound as a badge of strength, is the ultimate form of beauty.
Migration · memory · suspended identity
Fading in Both Worlds
This is the grief of belonging to a place that continues without you, while trying to belong to another that may never completely know you. It is the suspended life of the migrant—present in two worlds, and somehow fading in both.
Rupture · exposure · endurance
Trauma
This work is an echo of the wound that remains within a person after suffering.
The pale central form evokes a spirit laid bare—vulnerable, exposed, and marked by all that it has endured.
It does not depict the moment of injury, but what persists afterward: the quiet, lasting presence of rupture carried inside the body long after the event has passed.
Memory · texture · testimony
What the Wound Became
The wound becomes memory. Memory becomes texture. Texture becomes testimony. It does not ask for perfect healing; it honors survival as it is: scarred, altered, luminous, and still standing.
Solitude · survival · altered self
Where No One Could Follow
Where No One Could Follow is about the private experience of trauma—the part that remains unreachable even when care, love, and support are present.
I survived, but survival changed the material from which I am made. Some rooms of the self can only be entered alone.
Continuation · vulnerability · root
Fragile, Still Becoming
This work is not about victory over trauma, but about the difficult, unfinished act of continuing while carrying what cannot be undone.
We do not rise above the wound or leave it behind. We learn to carry it. In time, it may become a root—not because pain is a gift, but because life can still take hold in damaged ground.
Accumulation · persistence · history
Veiled, Not Vanished
Life accumulates—through what we endure, what we hope for, what we lose, and what we continue to carry. What has been covered is not necessarily gone. Beneath the surface, a life still carries its history—veiled, not vanished.
Transformation · agency · strength
The Alchemy of a Fracture
The work asks what happens when we cease to be trapped by our history and instead use it to forge something entirely new. Our deepest fractures, when acknowledged, become the very architecture of our strength.
Blackout · rage · collective wound
Darkness and Blood
For every life taken in the blackout. For every voice they tried to silence.
Iran is bleeding, but Iran is not broken.
Witness · remembrance · light
Light Enters Through the Wounds
Their blood still speaks. Their light still breaks through the cracks.
My work here is a painting of pain and a witness—a refusal to let the blood be forgotten.
Where the surface is most broken, light is allowed to enter. What was torn open becomes the very place through which remembrance passes.
Root · togetherness · renewal
Rebirth After Silence
From the wounded soil it grew: a green that refused to sleep, a togetherness quietly reaching out, a becoming that raised its own sky. Iran is still growing.
